ThisVid combines an open discovery layer with member-led collections, profiles and restricted media; the route you choose determines the access assumptions that follow.

CHAPTER A
Public sorting routes answer broad discovery
Latest updates, top rated and most popular are sorting views for public discovery. Categories narrow by subject, while search is more efficient when a phrase or member name is already known.
The independent ThisVid review explains the tradeoffs, and the playlist guide covers collection-based browsing.
CHAPTER B
Private pages add an access decision
Private videos and private albums are presented as distinct routes. A visitor should read the current item and account context instead of assuming that a label, login or profile connection guarantees playback.
The private-content guide gives a practical checklist, while the signup and login guide separates account availability from item-level permission.
CHAPTER C
Community and upload tools create participation
Community search, personal profiles, communication and upload controls turn the platform into more than a passive directory. Participation can expose profile details and create moderation, rights and retention obligations.
Read the community and profiles guide before social activity and the upload rules guide before posting material.
